I like to give gifts that either can be used quickly, or used everyday. Around the holidays (and ideally anytime), it’s polite to bring a small gift to your hosts and these gifts are perfect. So here’s a few things I think would make great gifts for these friends.
A candle is the perfect little gift, and these Homesick candles are such a fun idea! Each scent is based on a state, and I’ve included states with scents that sound wonderful. Check the website to find more states, and a few cities too! and there’s such a variety on the homesick website.
Another fun gift idea is a cocktail book, forget cookbooks, 2020 is the year we started staying in our houses 24/7. It’s time to learn how to make a fun cocktail instead of drinking another glass of wine. And if you’re gonna be making cocktails, you’ll need the tools to do it. Ayesha Curry’s cocktail kit and shaker have a touch of fun decoration; your friends will want to show them off and the stand keeps everything all together.
After you’ve had a cocktail or two, you might want a cup of coffee. Preppy Coffee is a brand that I found on @carly’s Instagram account. The bag is beautiful and my mom the avid coffee drinker enjoys the brew. The descriptions alone are what convinced me to buy her a bag. They so cleverly advertise the decaf coffee as, “A little bit less zip in your doo-dah.”
And if you’re giving friend’s coffee, you might as well give them this adorable (and more importantly dishwasher-safe) mug from Anthropologie. Whether you plan on drinking coffee or making hot cocoa, cookies are always an appreciated gift around the holidays.
So after you “pour yourself a cup of ambition,” you can make Dolly Parton themed cookies with the Holly Dolly Cookie baking kit. This would be a great gift for a friend moving into a new house or apartment, as it replaces eight pieces of other cookware.
