Today my last package from the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale arrived today, and I am excited to show y’all some things I am going to be wearing this season. I realize now that I probably should have posted on the blog before the After Party Sale, oh well! 🙂

I am trying to KonMarie my closet, so if I am shopping for clothes they better spark joy. Also, they better go with my existing wardrobe and go in the washing machine. I like to look pretty, but I don’t want to spend time struggling to figure out what to wear. So on to the clothes!

Round-Up

The Madison Skort

A skort has the cuteness of a skirt and the practicality of a pair of shorts, which I like because flashing people isn’t ideal. The Madison is easy to pull on, move around in, the skort is perfect for playing on the beach or at the pool. It’s cute, casual, and classic summer.

The Magnolia Short

If you’re looking for shorts that can be playful or professional, these are the shorts for you. Magnolias are a twill fabric short with scalloped edges. They do wrinkle a little bit, but the length is perfect. Add a t-shirt and it’s basically my summer uniform. This particular style isn’t online right now, however, I’ve included a link to a similar cut style.

The Harper Shift

The Harper shift is an upscale version of a t-shirt dress. Like any classic shift, it’s perfect for a hot day if you’re outside, or if you’re in an office add a sweater. The neckline is trimmed with a fun pompom detail, and it isn’t too revealing.

The UPF 50+ Skipper Popover

I love my popovers and wear them frequently. As someone who gets sunburned easily, I love that it has the UPF 50+ technology in the fabric. No matter the season, I wear my popovers. The front pocket makes it easy to carry my phone, car keys, or whatever I put in my pocket. I’m also a fan of the half zip!

Tips

  1. Wait until the next Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale–you’ll save SO much money! However, it’s only twice a year.
  2. When you are shopping the APS online make sure you have a Lilly account.
  3. Make multiple purchases, that way you won’t lose something in your cart by the time you checkout.
  4. Join Lilly Pulitzer BST (Buy, Sell, Trade) groups on Facebook. I’m a member of Buy My Lilly, Lilly With Curves, and Lilly Pulitzer BST.
  5. Search on websites like eBay, Poshmark, and Thredup. (Make sure you’re buying from a reputable seller.)
  6. Check your local thrift store or consignment shops for Lilly.
  7. Shop at the sale section of your local Lilly retailer.
  8. Don’t buy it if you don’t love it.
  9. Always set a budget.

Lilly Pulitzer is one of my favorite brands. I know that their clothes flatter my figure, are well made, and look downright adorable! Finding clothing that I can mix and match with things I already own is always something I think about when I buy clothes. And it’s especially easy to do with Lilly Pulitzer because they use the same colors in different patterns. Add a white, green, or purple t-shirt with either of the bottoms, and you have three different looks. Throw a white or coral sweater over the dress and you’ve got another two looks. Try a pair of jeans, leggings, skirts, or shorts with the popover, and you’ve countless looks.
