If you’re familiar with preppy bloggers and influencers, you know who Kiel and Sarah Patrick are. They are the ridiculously adorable husband and wife team that started the New England inspired clothing brand Kiel James Patrick. Besides being an entrepreneur, Sarah also has a blog called Classy Girls Wear Pearls, that has been around for ages. It’s a preppy girl’s guide to style, travel, and life, and one of the inspirations behind this blog.
Naturally, when I found out that their flagship store was in Newport, Rhode Island, and that I was going to be in the Ocean State, I knew I had to go. The last time I visited Newport, back in March of 2018, there was snow on the ground, and only a few places were beginning to open for the spring season. Kiel James Patrick was closed for renovation This time visiting Newport, it was 80 degrees and there were a lot more people around.
Kiel James Patrick is downright adorable and preppy as can be. From the clothes and jewelry to the socks and sweaters, I loved it all. If Bogey wasn’t a toy-destroying machine, I would have brought back this funny squeaky toy. Cheers y’all!
The brand is known for it’s New England inspired, American made apparel, especially their amazing sweaters. They remind me of sweaters my dad used to wear back in his heyday. Clearly, he has passed on his love of preppy clothing to me.
If you live where it’s not quite sweater weather yet, don’t worry they have beautiful pearl jewelry, cute needlepoint bracelets, belts, and keychains that you can wear all year long. So if you visit the store in person or shop online, you’ll be able to find something perfectly preppy.
